Random Thoughts in my life today

1.) I have a migraine this morning that started right behind my eyes. The type you know that no amount of Tylenol will cure :( I know, I need new contacts/glasses and want to schedule that appointment before the end of the year, but that requires time and money and planning. Next.

2.) Everyone and their sister is pregnant right now in my life and it's making me sad. As I've shared, I was one of those lucky pregnant girls at one point in my life. God had other plans and took my son away from me at 21 weeks old :( I should have a 4.5 year old son to celebrate Christmas with and I just don't. I spoil my niece, other people's kids and my dogs, but it's not the same. I know that my time will come, but I'm getting impatient and I want to make things happen yesterday. Had a convo with Mr. P about it, he wants to do it the "right" way, which so do I, but make it happen already.

3.) I'm still having ovary pain and there is no end in sight. In order for me to work on #2, I need to get this all figured out. It's upsetting me, my doctor isn't doing more about it and their answer is to wait things out. I'm noticing I have no patience.

4.) I need to make an effort to make it to the gym. I'm paying $30/month for a membership I never use :/ I really should go, but I'm lacking energy almost every day :( I keep up with the dogs, but even that is difficult at the moment.
5.) I made a delicious dinner last night and wanted to post about it and share pictures, but I didn't take any pictures. I'm planning on making my bake sale cookies tonight and french onion soup for tomorrow. I have nothing planned for dinner tonight though.

Haircut Need Suggestions

I need a haircut, BAD! My ends are split, my color is uneven and my hair is breaking :( I'm not good about getting my hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks and it's showing. Everyday this week I've sported the pony because I'm embarrassed I let it get this far (and I think everyone else is too).
These past few weeks I have completely ignored my appearance (which isn't like me) and decided a pony is enough and barely any effort at all is enough. I'm claiming my sickness is what has prompted me to get to this point. Anyways, I now need some sort of guidance on my latest haircut which I'm doing this weekend, strep throat and all.
I'm at work early waiting for a customer to show, so I'm browsing hairstyles. I need a new holiday do and I promise to keep it up and even schedule my next hair cut at the current appointment :) Now can I get some votes on what I should do?
Here was my last haircut I loved
I had the blond highlights, side bangs and just long enough for my pony :) Now my hair has turned to this:
As you can see, breakage, uneven and just not healthy :(
So here are the top contenders for my new hairstyles. Any advice is much appreciated.

I think I'm going to stay the same color I have, probably a little darker to even it out, but I want something easy to keep up and that doesn't take much effort. With the holidays and starting school I won't have much time to play. Please take a second and let me know your thoughts. Followers, lurkers, people passing through just leave a comment or send me an email and give me your 2 cents. My hair is super straight and fine, but I have alot of hair. ANY thoughts appreciated!!!

Finally feeling better

All it took was a heating pad and mega dose of pain killers :) I don't care if it involved eating frog testicles, if it relieved the pain I would've done it. I'm not sure the temperature of a heating pad or recommended amount of time to apply heat to the stomach area, but I may have fried some of my eggs. Hopefully it was just one or two.
I'm behind on my reading :( and poor Mr. P had to eat frozen perogies for dinner. Over the weekend we celebrated my birthday and I had fun. When I saw the pictures, it looks like I had alot of fun I don't recall....hmmm :) Apparently I was the life of the party.

Next month, instead of a girl's night, we are having a girl's date and having a cookie baking party :)

Oh, I'm thinking mozzarella sticks and chicken florentine for dinner tonight. I found a show on my netflix called pantry raid and they showed a super easy way to make things straight out of what you have on hand. I'll post the recipes in the next day or so. Something for you to come back for!

1. Do you ever burp out loud in private or public?
- In private yes, in public I make an effort not to
2. How often do you get sick each year?
- Define sick? Like stay home from work about 4 days out of the year, hospital twice per year. I have a bad immune system and my diabetes gives me health complications.
3. Would you rather paint a room in your house yourself, or have someone else do it for you?
- Someone else, I would like to help, but I would get bored about halfway through. Welcome to my ADD.
4. If you get 30 minutes to yourself, what do you do?
- Read or catch up on my DVR. Although I'm never alone, the dogs are almost always with me. I don't mind them though.
5. Do you allow people to wear shoes in your house?
- Yes, but when the floors are redone, we will be a barefoot house :)

Thankful Thursday!!

Obviously MARvelous

I am in a good mood today (finally)! I can't wait to do some shopping after work (even though we went and picked out a brand new king size bed last night!) We invited Mr. P's mom over for a holiday dinner in a couple weeks, so I'm in impress-the-mom-mode. I'm also trying to get her to do my hair, but I sorta feel like I'm taking advantage. In the (close to) 2 years I've been dating Mr. P, I've met her once. Ya, they aren't close. She has a masters in cosmetology but I don't want her to feel obligated to do my hair, but I would like to do something other than a ponytail :/ (selfish?)
Oh well, 2 days to girl's night to celebrate MY birthday! I made pot roast for dinner, my crockpot is getting a work out this week! Oh, and today being Vetran's day, Thanks to my lil bro who is putting his life on the line. We miss him so much, next September can't come fast enough!
I'm blog hopping, so leave a comment so I know you stopped by and I will follow you BACK!

TGIF and Christmas Shopping?

I love love love, can't get enough of, Fridays! I feel prettier, smarter, taller, funnier and just all over a better person. It takes a lot to ruin my Friday :)
I also received an email that Kohl's will be opening at 3am this year on Black Friday!!! Which will make it another awesome Friday! I am one of the crazy people that does 70% of my Christmas shopping on Black Friday over a span of 6-8 hours. If I had to choose, I would say it's my favorite day of the year.
My family makes a whole event out of it and this year it's starting even earlier. I'm thinking of skipping Thanksgiving just to prepare, but I know that won't fly for my bf's family since that is where I will be during the day Thursday.
This year I am going to be taking his Sister-In-Law up north with us to join in the fun.
I'm in a good mood today and spending the day blog hopping. Leave me a comment so I know you stopped by! I'm going to be doing a book review later on about a book I read. So keep an eye out for that later this afternoon :)

Question: Who are your favorite authors?

A: V.C. Andrews, Ellen Hopkins, Nicholas Sparks, Alice Sebold and Jennifer Weiner. I read such a variety of books, I don't usually stick with one author. If I find a book I like I then will search out other books by the same author :)

Wednesday Blog Hops and Updates

Photobucket

So where have I been lately? Well besides reading, I honestly have no clue! Mr. P had a procedure (he's fine, it was a 1 day thing), the dogs have been behaving, my bff is moving, grocery shopping needs to be done. The list is never-ending.
I asked Mr. P to get the Christmas decorations down when he puts the Halloween decorations away and I got the look of death. He says I'm skipping a holiday, well excuse me decoration police, I would just like to be prepared!
Have I mentioned how much I'm disliking my job lately? I hate office bs and lately it's gotten worse. I hate know-it-alls and their attitudes and I'm lucky to have a few throughout the building. Taking the higher road isn't an option because they repeatedly point out how and why their way is better.
On a good note, here are the pictures of the doggie's Halloween costume. Yes, they shared. Cookie usually eats her costume in the first 10 minutes.

If you're hopping, leave me a comment so I can follow you back! I love meeting new peeps!

I also baked 3 cakes for stacking. I'm pretty prepared for my cake making this evening. Here are some pictures to share....

I've been bit!

By the baking bug!!! I am looking forward to baking 2 birthday cakes this weekend. I also found a recipe for Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake. I can not wait to use some of my baking skills! It will be the SIL birthday next week, so I will make her a birthday cake. She also asked me to go shopping because she needs "tall winter shoes". I have no idea what they are, but I'm sure we will find plenty while looking for them. I also have my mom's surprise 50th birthday and am going to make an attempt at this:

via google search
There are some super crafty people out there so I'm going to make an attempt at making something similar. My mom really likes John Deere (I grew up on a farm) so I'd like to tie that into the cake.
I am also itching to finish off my Halloween Decor. My garage and paint are calling my name. I'm planning on making some sort of soup in the crockpot. Wow, look at me, a real-life Martha Stewart type huh?
I have books to read, movies to watch and shopping to do. I hope work flies by today. I hope you all have a great weekend!
Here are the blog hops for today!
